〔statement〕

 

生命を描き切りたい。
そんな事を思いながら描いている。
それがどんなモチーフであれ
生きている物に感じる恐怖や美しさ、
自分が感じ得る全ての感情を込めたいと思う。

動物を描く時には、進化の過程を考える。
生き抜く為に今の姿になった動物の強さや
これから進化していくかも知れない
獣たちの未来の姿を想像する

植物を描く時、その植物そのものよりも、
それが咲いているであろう場所を想像する。
その場所の空気の匂いや光、土の触感。
想像の世界をリアルに描くために、より微細な点や線を思い描く。

終わりのない制作の時間の中で
自己の内面と向き合い続ける時、
苦痛を感じることもある。

でもその先にある、絵の中に自分がのみこまれる瞬間に出会いたくて制作を続けている。

I want to draw it all about life.
I think about that while drawing.
Whatever the motif might be,
the fear and the beauty that I can feel from the living,
I wish to put all those feelings that I can ever feel in my work.

When I draw animals,
I think about the process of evolution.
The strength of the animals
progressing to their present form in order to survive.
I also imagine how they might continue to evolve into a future form.

When I draw plants,
I imagine where it would bloom rather than the plant itself.
The smell of the air and light of the place and the touch of the soil.
In order to draw the imaginary world realistically,
I choose to draw the body with finer dots and lines.

The hours of creation always seem endless in time.
And facing one’s inner self constantly sometimes can be painful.

But beyond that,
I am eager to see the moment where I am swallowed by the painting.
And for that I continue to create.

我想畫盡那所有有關生命的
總是這樣子邊想邊作畫
不管是什麼主題
只要是生物讓我感到的恐懼和美感
我都想將這所有的感受融入創作裡

當我描繪動物時
我思考牠們進化的過程
為了生存而演進成現在形態的動物們的力量
更想像牠們可能會再繼續演變成的未來姿態

當我繪畫植物時
我想像它們可能會在哪些地方開花
反而比較不是有關植物本身
那個地方的空氣的氣味與光線，還有土壤的觸感
為了將想像的世界畫的更逼真
我選用點和線條來描繪身體的部分

在永無止盡的創作時間裡
不停的面對自己內在本質
有時也會感到苦痛

但我還是不停的創作
就為了更想邂逅那之後被畫吞噬的一瞬間
